Yes. Actually I can tell that is how you think from the way you played it.
If you just focus on that note, C with fingering 4 on it, it is the second position, but what position are you using before and after that note?
“…All in the first position.”
Right. And due to this context, I’d like you to think of the 4th finger as an extension of the first position. We can do so because B-natural and C-natural are a half step apart. You should remember that C-natural is the highest note you can play in the first position. 🙂
